Happy New Year!
Right, OK, I know its February but I had some time off from blogging in January – sorrynotsorry.
Today is special. Today I start a new proper full time job at the University of Leeds as a Student Support Officer. Today I am wearing new socks that my mum gave me for Christmas.
The last time I started a new job I announced it with a fanfare – an exciting new position where I’d have my chance to make the world a better place. You’ll forgive me for being slightly more low key this time round.
So, expect to see more blogs about coping with life and mental health over the coning weeks. Talking and sharing helps us know we aren’t alone when it feels like noone understands. It also makes it normal to talk and helps stop us bottling things up until the pain is too much. And if you’re lucky enough to have escaped and mental health issues so far – now is the time to reach out to your friends to be in their corner. Not only because its the right thing to do, but because when it’s your turn you’ll want as many people in your corner as possible.
Happy Monday everyone!
Congrats on the new job Antony! Am so pleased for you and good to know students will have you as support officer. Am all round pleased about this news 👍👍👍
Great socks! I hope to see you when I am back in September — are you at the Law School?
