There is nothing in life quite like friends. When you feel down, they bring you up. When your feeling great, they elevate you to ecstasy.
Sometimes when discussing the meaning of life, I have a tendency to focus on giving joy to the world, on helping other. But life can’t all be about giving. Sometimes, it’s necessary to bask in the glory of the world we live in, and to float merrily along in the stream of human happiness.
Tonight, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by some of my closest friends, some of the people I respect the most, and some of the people who accept me for who I truly am. Even as I lie here in bed, a smile keeps dancing across my face as I think of how lucky I am.
